Do you reckon youll be able to rig in P19LUG tubes with these neckboards? Most likely yes. In fact it would be easier since no tube socket translator would be needed. If you are seriously interested in such neckboard I should get some toasted LUG to play with. I'm also pretty sure the XG Power supply could be modified to drive the neckboards with +/-85V, so no auxiliary power supply would be needed. Such conversion would "only" need installing the new neckboards and a modified power supply unit. Installing the LUGs in the XG is an other story though.

He but now you got it working with the PG you might not need to remove the red from the XG to get it working there too? No, it's not the tubes which were different, but driving signals and etc. Most of my time now was spent on the modification to convert the PG xtra to behave like as an XG -from video path viewpoint.

They wont fit, but you could use a different chassis if you could find one bare.

I'm fine with a LUG on my bench tied to the test chassis.

If i ever have the time we can look into that If I had some 9 inch tubes I would have a go at this. It would be a great project. Deflection coils would be an interesting challenge. I would want a worn set of tubes to start with. Do you have any spare?
Greg.

No idea. They dont have LC housings on them though so youd need to get some.

Hi, I have a XG75 and a XG1350 If the XG75 is a 750 too, then you are lucky. XG ..0s still hold good bandwidth as far as I know, so actually you don't need my neckboard mod to achieve usable bandwidth. You'd need, however new CRT sockets on the neckboards, but that is far easier than what I'm working on. If I could grab a burnt tube XG ...0 it would have been easier to transplant the LC tubes there combining the advantages of both sets...

Yep, My first step will be adapt the neck board with a new socket and any needed pinout change. The deflection and focus coils will be a bit harder to sort out but should be doable.

Not sure which yokes youd want to use, but i cant see why 909 yokes wouldnt work without issue.
