At some point i saw the built in remote is not backlit, is it proven to be working?
Is there a remote control with the set that is functioning?
If you press 1 on the remote and plug something into composite video does it work? They dont always show the identification screen on start up.
Are there any bent pins on any boards?
Check all the caps on the SMPS, i have one here that does unusual things.

Dont flash that CineMAX controller unless youre having problems though, i cant see any advantage myself, in my case i had issues with the set shutting down, that now seem to be resolved.

Although the identification screen remains very much the same on the Sky-Skan, it does infact operate exactly the same as the other controller, and has all the same features, with the exception of live updated voltage display in the service menu.
Prior to flashing, it was quite different in a couple menus, and IRIS was completely inoperable. ( it still doesnt work properly, not sure why though )
Another issue i never noticed before was the LIMO-PRO does not like the 240p 59.18Hz signal from one of my game consoles, yet the 60Hz units seem ok, although now display the image twice when an interlaced upscale is selected.
There is no garrentee your SEOS will retain what it requires if you flash with Cine 9 software, but id expect it will do basically what my Sky-Skan did, and operate as a Cine 9 but still identify as a SEOS BR-919.
Try this at your own risk!! I took a gamble doing it with mine not knowing any of what i just spoke of, and it could very well be nothing important to your set either, but you want to be sure before you do, and also try to gain access to a SEOS 919 .bin file before you proceed!!

Sorry i got side tracked there. Ive got more to add!! So i know of no method to read the installed software to create a file, meaning if indeed you have an issue, there may be no way to revert it. There could be special features of the software in place to avoid errors being displayed etc, but the other thing is, not ALL of the software is replaced when flashing, so that may not be a concern. My 909 is a "Sky Skan" custom, and even after flashing with the Cine 9 2.21 file it still shows this: The CineMAX had 2.00 on it, and used to say CineMAX, where it know says Cine 9

It depends what it has removed or added that makes it different to the regular 909, without confirmation from someone that has tried it, or someone that knows the complete variances, i wouldnt flash that without at least trying your CineMAX controller in there first.

You need a proper serial port too, dont use a USB adaptor.
If you have CineMAX or Cine 9 software allready on the controller i wouldnt bother flashing it unless you have an issue.

The quads i got from Greg Eisemann are brand new, they have the focus wire but its cut short and the end boot put back on and filled with silicone. Works perfect.

If the SMPS is getting a bit iffy, youll get a reasonable difference in voltage on the 17v line between full black and full white, so check both.

I have a MOOME i will contemplate selling for the Barco, but youll need to test Port 3 first on your switcher anyway.
What country are you in? I might have a spare 15-9 adapter cable for Barco Port 3 here.

Mastertech said: Or fix it your self. Ouch ! Now You are overestimating me. That's beyond even my next incarnation skills... and my ceramic soldering station misses SMD tips However, I guess this splitter suffered from overheat caused by the insertion of the "TV-One" edge blender unit inside the chassis, that may have cahnged the air flow and added additional warm. The heatsink looks very dark brownish around the transistors. Thats pretty normal.
