I have measured the DC output, with the gain adjusted to the minimum and I have measured 3.3mV. I'm wondering what could have damaged, since the speaker tinsel wire was damaged(with an ohm meter I was measuring in the megaohm range). I'm thinking that something in the amp section, no?

It also pops a bit when turning it off as well. I have tested some of the capacitors, and even replaced a pair by the "hot" resistor, but there is still no change.

I have picked up this sub for $20(!), that wasn't working per previous owner. He wired up the speaker to the input speaker connectors, and he used an external amp. After inspection, I have found the Auto On/Off toggle switch was broken. The toggle arm has fallen inside the switch. Removed it, and replaced it. The issue is, that it never turns off, even if I set it to Auto On. It suppose to turn off after 20 minutes. The Auto On/Of circuitry has an issue?! Any help would be appreciated. Can't find a schematic for this sub.

I have picked up this sub that did not work. Found the "wire" from the coil to the speaker cone did not conduct. Measure with Ohm meter and it was open. Replaced that "wire" and it is working now, but when it turns on it pops. Otherwise it works great. I'm not sure what this could be, just a bad capacitor, or something bad in the amp area, since the speaker wire had an open circuit?

I also noticed, that the final transistors always could use some screw tightening. They are never tight.

Wow, that board is super bad. And I thought that my RZ810 main/bottom board crack was bad. That must of been a long process, to transplant all those components. Great job Todd!!

Wow, that is a lot of work. Good job finding all the issues. I wouldn't be able to do all that. I'm trying to stick to simple amp issues, or maybe HDMI IC replacement. Lately I'm not to dedicated on repairing these receivers, since I'm about to start building a Locost(similar to a Caterham car). Picked up a mini mill and a mini lathe. I'm busy repairing and improving them. Eventually, I will take those measurements at the IC, because at the four coils I have those voltages.

The main bottom board(amp board) is cracked. Going back to the HDMI issue, which voltages would be important for the IC to be OK, or bad?

Yes, I did. We talked about this on the last page. I have just placed an order, for 2 ICs. What I could do until then, is to measure the voltages, at the IC level. Which are the most important ones?
Todd, you ever had one, with the main board cracked(lifted one side)? I have solder joined those traces, and at some wider ones, I have placed component terminals to join them, but I still feel like, the soldered joint won't hold up. I'm referring to the tiny ones. Specially when I pop the board back in.

You should download the manual, and there should be all the available options that can be had with that receiver.

I wouldn't recommend that. If you need those features, you should find a more advanced receiver. Usually those are high end receivers. By installing the speakers in series, you will have less power. If you install them in parallel, you can blow the amp. Ohm divided with 2= 1/2 the Ohm

Can we have at least the end result in English? I don't understand everything in Italian. Though I have an Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I'm Hungarian from Romania, originally.

The bouncy Atmos feature is crap. I ended up installing ceiling speakers.

I will check the voltages, at the IC level and also the coils, if all is good, I will buy another IC. Thanks Todd.

What else can I try here?
