Shut off and now will not turn on. I unplugged it and plugged back in and still will not turn on.

Are you using the remote or buttons on tv to try to turn it on?

The buttons on the tv work. So it's just the remote I guess that is not working.Do I need a new remote?

Look at the top of the remote for buttons like TV, DVD, Cable and so on. If it has a TV button, press that and see if the remote then works. If not, then try changing the batteries and see if that helps.

My remote works to turn the power on but the red bar at the bottom kinda flickers for a minute then goes to solid red. It is supposed to turn blue when the tv is on. Any ideas on that one??

Have you also tried the power button on the TV? If yes, then are you able to open it up and do some voltage testing or are you just looking for general suggestions?

No I haven't, But Ill try that. Im not able to do voltage readings. But Im fairly handy if i know what parts to replace. I understand these are basically crap model tvs but this one is 2 years old

Well about all you could do then it check some of the fuses in there. Other wise you would have to change some boards. Boards are available on Ebay. Where are you located?

OK I went back re plugged the TV in and I was able to turn it on fine with the power button on the side. The little lamp turned from red to blue and stayed lit. But I didn't have it hooked up to my cable box. Is there a way to check out a menu or something to see if Id get a picture should I plug it back in?? I already put another TV in its place that I had been given.

Should be a menu button on the side also. Or even the input button will show something on screen.

Nothing. The light at the bottom turns blue and nothing comes on the screen at all. fuses?? I thought color wheel, or the light source after reading a ton of boards. But Im not a TV guy. I just turn them on and off  |
