I have a friend whose LVPS died in his BG808. The projector simply shut off during operation, my friend seems to remember that the contrast jiggled a bit just before it knocked out, but there was no apparent sign of failure at that time. It turned out that the main fuse opened in the Barco, after replacement, one of the switching transistors in the LVPS blowed up, the other was simply shorted. So he replaced the transistors along with the control ICs (TDA4601). No blown fuses, no other apparent failed parts. The machine since that gets to standby, but it refuses to power on, even with the "force ON" jumper, instead the ERROR LED lights up on the control board. He has a spare of EACH boards for the machine -except for the LVPS of course- and tried all iterations, so it really seems the problem is with the LVPS. Yesterday I could check on that board myself too, and didn't find any faulty component either. Any ideas are welcome

Have you or he verified "all" output voltages of the P/S?

Well it's hard to say... in standby only +5V and + 9V generated, and they are there, otherwise the LVPS don't start, so no there are no other voltages coming out from it.
