From the photo pin number one is at the underside most left where the dot is in the housing. So counting from there

You can verify pinout by locating the ground pin. 21

The scrambled numbers on the schematics is normally to show a clearer view of the inside of the chip. On the photo you can see pin 21 (ground pin) seems to be connected to ground ,you can easily check that. Also all pin 7(scl) from the three chips should be connected together and all pin 8(sda) should be connected together to.

Ok today I'll try to check the three IC's

I have failed to lift the pins of Ic's. So I changed the Ic's one by one. I tried to put three Ic's of a donor board (808's convergence driver). At the start I see the three hourglasses (one for each colors) but the tubes do not show anything except a faint luminosity. The owner of this 909 has sent a vertical spare board. It work but don't able to set the right edge adjustment. dummyload I sent an email.

So same situation as before the replacement of the three chips? Forgot to ask before is there a subboard on that vertical board? So the replacement vertical he send you is known as faulty ?

The vertical of 909's don't have sub-board. After replacing of three ic's the error disappeared but the projector show only hourglasses at start ... then no menu. The spare board works, the projector show the menu but there's a issue at right edge menu. No bow and keystone adjustments.

Some do, but you can remove them, there is sometimes a HDTV board or orbit board on there.

But those chips are as far as I know (except from barco) no where to be found. I have some boards for spare, some vertical but other series. I have a vertical bord from Cine 8 which looks similar. Those boards certainly look similar but I am almost positive you cannot change them. The 909 board has a different design. you should check before installing.

Thanks again to dummyload that fixed two vertical boards. The i2c's errors and geometry problems are solved.

Glad I could help you out. Measuring showed that all three chips did not behave correctly on the scl and sda lines ,so first I worried that the bella's from the donor board were not pin compatible but looking at the schematics they were so all three bad (again)? I replaced all three again from the same donor board and everything was back to normal . So the only things I could think of why the chips where bad is esd or overheating and after I knew he used a hot air gun I'm pretty sure that killed them. So be careful not to overheat components ,you were very close to a successful repair.
