Hi Strid, What is the best setting then, maybe I could try and see whether your setting will be much better. I think i covered most of it already in previous posts.. But as long as your digital videochain is as complex as it is i doubt it makes much sense to recommend anything. I can just see some of what your feeding the moome and what level you set on the moome, and that indicates that your digital / HDMI signal have a hole lot of convertion and upsampling going on, so im not sure your looking for the same qualities in a projected image as i do. In my opinion, the best you can do is plug a blu ray player direct into your Hdfury and then to the moome card, and check your 1:1 pixel mapping, clipping points, grayramp, croma resolution and so on.. All the basic static video testpatterns that should be right before continuing. Try run your setup as close to the native disc format as possible, meaning 1080P 4:2:2, 8 bit component 16-235 all the way to your moome card without cross converting along the way, so you preserve the full 8 bit, and optimum croma resolution, and have no scaling or enhancement processing going on anywhere.

Hi strid,
I removed the DVDO from the video chain and use OPPO 103 directly to 3D Fury. The picture quality was clean but has slightly lower brightness and sharpness with setting on OPPO at 4:2:2. After that, i removed the 3D Fury and replaced with DVDO.
It seem that the picture is brighter, punchier & sharper and to my liking. The only issue with the DVDO is that at times, I can see a very very subtle distortion to the image intermittently (only seen on text but difficult to see on image). This too happens if the 3D fury is also in the video chain with DVDO combination. But if i removed DVDO, i did not see this intermittent distortion.

The caps in the power supply of the DVDO maybe on their way out.

If i remember right, the DVDO is not capable of passing 8 bit, so can what you call distortion be graduation noise/ color banding.?
Also the reference for black and white is feeding directly from the player outputting 422 16-235.. No matter what you put in between has to pass that, not convert it.. If you dont have controle or know how to setup your devices/ processors its hard to maintain a objectively right image.. Ill recommend you put standard boards in the projector and feed it directly from your OPPO and uses that as a reference point, check black and white clipping, that your Moome is set right. Most processors degrade the signal in some way, so multiple processors in series is always a mess. It can be hard enough to maintain a decent source integrity just using 1.
