A friend of mine gave me a video processor. This presents a video issue as a clip below. No problem with internal patterns. Any suggestions?

It looks a bit like a HDMI cable issue, just much worse.. Have you done the factory reset, and made sure the power supply is good, or tested with another supply.?

I have experienced a mini that went funky when running high bandwidth, it looked like you were running 1080P 60hz, is there any change at 1080P 24hz.?
try turn dithering off, and game mode on, the game mode bypass the deinterlacer and enhancement section.. Worth a shot.

so its most likely a processor faliure, good news is that you dont need that processor for HD sources, or as long as you always feed it a progressive signal.
The Game mode also reduce lag, and eliminates croma degradation/ loss. So there is nothing so bad its not good for something..

I also have another bad board from XS-3D (No +). What is the processor that could be broken?

No idea, it might be integratd in the main processor.
The + is just unlocked to 200Mhz, im sure there is a code to unlock the feature, if you can source that one you could test and see if it operates at 200Mhz stable, if i remember right they spec the + to 188Mhz, mine runs smooth at 200Mhz.
Looks like you got your foot in the back door of a Lumagen repair workshop with all those defective and loos processor boards.. Im sure you will have a lot of fun troubleshooting and putting stuff together that can be used.

Definitively it's a issue deinterlacer related. The noise disappear if set the output in film mode Submenu input/video setup/resolution/control/deinterlace/mode/set film
Or game mode Submenu input/video setup/resolution/control/game mode/set ON
In the clip below I switch game mode on and off

I wondering if it can be setting related, but if you did a factory reset and saved it, it should not be, or i guess i would have it as well on my xs in factory settings. You can upload the device setup, so it can be passed to a different device, if you do that i can try see if i can pass it to mine, if i can do a backup and feed it my own settings again, long time i did not do that.

I also have another bad board from XS-3D (No +). What is the processor that could be broken? The processor is the big chip with the VXP marking, but I think your only hope is the problem is setting related.

I do not think that the issue is settings related. I tried to change many different settings, sources, cables, power supplies, displays, but the noise disappears only when sets the film mode or game mode.

there is a bias setting for auto deinterlacing mode, whats that at.. make sure its not turned all up or down so it pushes the deinterlacing in a specifik mode, and see that reinterlacing is off. What is the source format.? it must be douing some sort of deinterlacing or reinterlacing if changing the deinterlacing mode have a effect.
