What the topic says, looking for one more set of HD18 lenses (would prefer the lenses with aluminium housings as that is what my other set is) with C-elements, plus a set of 8" tubes if the price is right (Barco LC housings on them are a plus!). If you have anything of the sort, send me a PM please!
Thanks!

Can you give me the full tube numbers? Are they just bare tubes, or any housing on them ?

In what (NEC) projector were they used? I've never heard of P16LMJ tubes...

Interesting! gjaky, I'm not sure they were made for NEC PJ's exclusively, the only info I could find is that they were used in retro sets, and they seem electronically compatible with the XG tubes.
Also, PM sent!

Im not sure either gjaky. Honestly, i bought them many years ago thinking of doing the mods on the bd808 data at some stage but never happen. Ever since i had the 909 working, the tubes had been in the box unmolested. If the p16s that would help ratty why not. As of the serial im only stating whats on the tubes. Pls refer pix. By the way, i really enjoy everyone's work here. It amazing the amount talent that everyone chips in this forum. Best of luck..

Some further reading suggests that the reds were used in G70 sets, the blue and green not, but they should be electronically compatible. I have to wonder how sharp these might be compared to LNP tubes?

The biggest issue you'll encounter with these tubes is their different face size and tube neck diameter compared to the P16 tubes used in Barcos...

They have the thin neck-type? I didn't notice that. You think the face size might differ significantly? I mean they're both p16 tubes...

Ratty, the XG and G70 uses P16LJE tubes yet they have the same dimensions as the E8508 tubes found in your PGs, only that the P16LJE tubes usualy have a 2cm longer neck than the E8508 tubes. But you can check how the PG tubes would fit in the Barco housings, the thin neck would be still an issue though...

I actually checked the tube bell dimensions between the P16s in the barco LC housings and the E8508 tubes, and they're pretty much the same, also matching with the Toshiba tubes used in some arcade game RP sets. But yeah the thin neck is definitely a problem, not to mention the shipping and asking price are out of my league.
At the moment though my focuse shifted back to the lenses, as I have a BD808LC with pristine p16 tubes on it's way to me. With that, I should be good to go for the blend once I swap the electronics around and get a set of lenses to match the others.

From what I can find out about the p16ljm tube is they are for rear projection TV,'s. They may only be em focus and have short necks.
