Straight ethylene glycol works just fine. I've seen tubes that were documented to have been filled with it more than 8 years ago and it's still crystal clear and free of any yellowing.
I've seen others that had white clouds forming in the bottom of the LC chamber within a year of being filled.
The common factor I've found so far in almost ALL cloudy/tinted Marquee tube assemblies and in NONE that lasted a long time and stayed clear was that in the ones that went cloudy they all had a contaminant on the rubber bellows that could be rubbed off with a finger, on the inside surface. So I highly recommend you clean the inside surface of the bellows very carefully, and use some glycol as lubricant while you rub your finger all over the bellows surface. When there's nothing left that you can rub off, flush the chamber out very thoroughly, dry it, and then you're ready to assemble and fill.
This should help you to get longer coolant life.

No, my tubes are still sitting on the shelf untouched... Using glycerol-water mixture seems to be a good overall solution, since it does not seem too aggressive either. You can buy ice clear with and without the anti corrosion agent, i cant remember which one Keith and i have, but he will have a bottle there handy. Ive never had an issue with it so far, but i didnt find any noticable improvement over poly glycol either. I have mixed ice clear with the poly glycol and it did go cloudy as shit to start with, but cleared up after about an hour or so, and with convection while in use, any cloudy fluid went away pretty quick.

Just had a look at the bottle. It says Non Corrosive.

Is there any way to find out what anti-corrosion-agent is added to the stuff?
