GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I snagged a DMP-BDT210 3D BR Player on ebay for $48 that the ad stated was a "MINT! Panasonic DMP-BDT210 3D Blu-Ray Player", and it very well may have been when it was shipped. Not so much now.
First I had to wait two weeks for the thing to travel 1000 miles, then when it arrived the package was tossed on my front porch. No knock on the door...just tossed.
Second thing, it's in a soft envelope!!!!
Third, it's obviously been wet and the packaging damaged and re-taped closed
Fourth, there's two stickers on it from USPS that simply say SORRY. Your article was damaged during processing.
Fifth, the seller charged me $14.95 to ship the thing, yet the postage sticker says $9.99 and it was shipped STANDARD
Sixth, I felt through the envelope and the remote control appears to be missing
I took pictures of the package and refuse to open it. I sent the seller a message on ebay with the pictures attached (so ebay can see them too!!!) and asked him how the hell he packaged it and that he better have insurance. Then I called the local PO and talked to a lady who acted like I was bothering her. She told me that because it was shipped Standard there probably wasn't insurance on it but to send the seller pictures and HE has to show them to the PO and start the process for damaged shipment.
It looks to me like the seller didn't use a box for shipping...just a soft envelope, made $5 from the shipping.... WTF!!!! Who ships electronics or anything fragile in a freekin soft envelope and WHY would the USPS let him do it!!! UPS will let you know at the counter if the packaging is insufficient.
It's not a ton of money I know but I'm so PO'd (pun intended) I'm spitting teeth.
Any advice or Tips n Tricks what my next move with the Seller should be? From my reading HE is responsible for insuring it...else he HAS to refund my money and the cost of shipping the POS back to him. Is that correct?
