Hello, I have a Rotel RDV-1060 dvd player with no apparent power. I've tested the power supply to discover all voltages are good except for 2 pins which need 3.5acv and they are measuring 7.2acv. I've checked the few resistors inline with these pins and they check out good. Thinking maybe the little transformer may be bad?? Schematic is available online, I'll post a snip .... Thx Attachments:

A pic of the board.... I should correct the voltage... The board says 3.6acv.... not 3.5

D61, the 16v zener is reading approx 25dcv on both legs? My understanding is the voltage should be dropped here? Is that right?? It does pass the diode function test on my dmm.....

For me, I am tied up in a big project right now and have no time for anything else. And probably for at least another month. Sorry. Don't know about anyone else here.

D 61 is a Schottky diode (according to the symbol in the schematic). Those have a very low voltage drop when forward biased. That is the reason for the small voltage difference. There may be some other faulty part. Just my 2 cents.
