I believe, that Texas Instruments shows the D version is compatible with the B version IC. You can search for that pdf file(recall) and read it.

Last digit 5 mean I think it's 456mhz chip

The "5" version runs at a higher frequency but I have found it to work perfectly as a replacement for the "4" version. I investigated this previously and what I found was that the D830K013BZKB4 uses a 20Mhz crystal. This chip multiplies that by 20 to get to the 400Mhz frequency. Systems like the NR636 that use the D830K013DZKB5 install a 24MHz crystal which increases the net speed of the chip. My current theory is that installing the "5" chip in a system with a 20Mhz crystal simply sets it up to run at (or close to) 400Mhz. I have tested this in an NR616 and it worked perfectly.

I have just purchased one myself. I still have a bad 609 around. I will give it another try. First time after I have replaced this IC, nothing happened.

After replacing it, nothing happened(no change). I assume, that my soldering job wasn't correct, but I may be wrong also. I don't know, how would I know, if I did a good job or not? This is not a priority for me right now. Receiver is to old, and is not worth almost nothing these days. I'm doing this, to learn on how to solder a BGA IC.

Hi! First, sorry because my bad english. I ordered a new chip for my tx-nr609. Chip is D830K013DZKB4. I don't have question marks at dsp version. I am able to connect with remote app. I am updated the firmware from usb without problem. The network and usb working. But, if i want to play music from usb or from internet the sound is cutting out. From analog tuner i got sound without problem. Already flashed the nand. What is the problem here? If the chip fake, than i don't have a dsp version and no sound. Thanks!
