Hi!
Please kindly help me with an information. Where can I find IC D830K013DZKB4 from a reliable source? I want to make sure that the IC is not fake. I bought IC D830K013BZKB4 from Ally and I think that is fake because LOGO is different from the original one.
Best regards, Marius

These DSP chips are simply not commercially available from ANYWHERE. The ONLY option to ensure you get a good chip is to remove one from an Onkyo board.
I have had numerous discussions with TI on this and they tell me that they are not allowed to sell this part to anyone due to intellectual property (Dolby IIRC) embedded in the design. Only a company like Onkyo who has a licensing agreement with both TI and Dolby and DTS can buy it. This is why you will only find reballed parts at Ali or eBay.

Tj, I hope you are back. Do you feel like helping me out with that 838 HDMI input problem? I haven't touched it since you left. If you remember, I have changed the HDMI chip(previous was shorted) and I still did not have HDMI input, only menu, apps, etc.

tibimakai,
I am not really "back", just a little bored so I thought I would peruse the board to see what was new. More than a little surprised to see all the old theme's still being discussed.
The HDMI chips (SII) on this generation required firmware. Are you certain that there is code on Q8305?

I wasn't aware of the firmware. So I have a blank SII chip? In the past, I have replaced similar HDMI chips, and they worked. If is that the case, what I could do to fix it. You know what, I will transfer this discussion to the 838 thread.

Hi! First, sorry because my bad english. I ordered a new chip for my tx-nr609. Chip is 830K013DZKB4. I don't have question marks at dsp version. I am able to connect with remote app. I am updated the firmware from usb without problem. The network and usb working. But, if i want to play music from usb or from internet the sound is cutting out. From analog tuner i got sound without problem. Already flashed the nand. What is the problem here? If the chip fake, than i don't have a dsp version and no sound. Thanks! Please check its part number if its starting with X, i e, XD830K013DZKB4 or.. I recently repaired a 616 that had no sound and ? ? ? in the DSP firmware. When I connected my laptop to the DSP port the system was stopping with the message bad NAND. I removed the NAND and loaded a good file and the amp started working, apart from the network. This turned out to be the Ethernet phy chip Q3108 failed. I replaced this and the network is fine now. The original DSP is still working even thought it initially looked like it was the problem. I only change these once I'm sure everything else is OK. Every one I've bought from Aliexpress has been a fake.
