Yeah, i suspect you are right, just a bad coincidence. The firmware did Complete, so it shouldn't have rendered it completed dead. They are no relay clicks even when the power cord is plugged in,. so I figured something went out in the power supply. I have no problems with a soldering iron, though I'm not as steady as I used to be with SMT.

Thanks for the link and possible culprits. I'll chase it down.
