Hi, I have tried the hair dryer idea, done reset too, have checked all the wires too. But still no sound is coming from the speaker. Pfa the pics . Also I m getting the strings of ? . After I get the strings of ? I clicked on Tone +, I got the version and then clicked on "display" button, I get various numbers. As I keep clicking on Display button, various numbers are being seen on the display screen. What are these numbers on the display? What does it indicate ? As the inside of the amplifier was very dirty with all kinds of dust on the boards. Hardly anything was visible. So I used a home vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the amplifier by using suction mode . Can this be a cause of no sound issue. ? Another update is that I had switched on my amplifier. I got the usual click sounds. Just for testing purpose, I had connected the Front left speaker wires in A connector. Then plugged the input in Aux. No sound came. However, after sometime, just by touching the outer top surface , i could feel the warmth. So it means that power is going to the PCB board on which the DTS chip is present. Pl help me as I really want to get the sound back.

Some more images. Something strange happened. This time I again tried to get the numbers on the display. There was some difference. Pl refer the earlier image in which "0A48K0N/ 004?x4" had appeared. But now when i again tried, I got a different number "0A48K0N/ 104?x4". I also observed that the 004 was continuously flickering as 104 and 004 . and finally it displayed as "104" However i can see there is slight flicker in "1" and "4" . But it stays as "104". ie "0A48K0N/104?x4". Moreover all those red indicators like "AAC", Dobly symbol, "dts", "ES-96/24" and green indicator like "PCM" and "EX" are blinking continuously. What is the meaning of all this numbers and these blinking indicators ? and why did the number get changed from 004 to 104 ? I am absolutely clueless. Pl help.

I'm not an expert on this issue, Tjmotter is, but what I have learned that when you see question marks, that means that the DSP(Texas Instrument) chip's solder balls(some of them) are detached, or the chip itself is worned out(there is a recall for these chips) and need resoldering, or replacing. You can try using some flux and try reheating the chip. If it does not work, unfortunately you will need to replace that chip, which is not an easy task.

Hello, What you didn't specify was whether or not the unit produced sound prior to your vacuuming it out. Was the unit powered up at the time? These electronics are very sensitive to electrostatic charges, which is why canned air is the best way to clean out a unit, along with a new small soft paintbrush, provided the unit has been powered down long enough for the charges to drain out and you stay away from the ICs and brush carefully not to create static charges.
One thing you might try is a Factory Reset. Look that up in the owners manual, and if you don't have one go to Hifiengine.com and download it. There is a combination of buttons that, when pressed, will reset the microprocessor. Kind of like a cold boot on a computer.
To be blunt, the HT series of any manufacturer is typically a cheaper line designed for the mass Home Theater market, and are usually stripped down versions of their better quality stuff. This means that you would be well advised not to put any real money into it.

Hi, Thanks for the response. Yes, the unit produced sound before vacuuming. During vacuuming the power cord was removed from the electric socket. The unit was powered down long enough before the vacuuming was done. But as the displays are working , but still can it be that the electrostatic charges were produced during vacuuming and they might have done harm to the unit ? I have tried Factory reset, by pressing the Standby and VCR button. I get a "Clear" msg displayed on the display. Pl help.

Static Electricity has killed many a component. BUT! after the reset, did you make sure the speakers were enabled and the inputs assigned properly, etc? This sounds obvious but after a reset EVERYTHING has to be reprogrammed. Another thing to slowly check is with a good flashlight, a magnifying glass and a bunch of patience, is whether any board component may have been physically damaged when you vacuumed it out. Take your time. Did you bend any components out of the way? Maybe you disturbed a connecting cable between boards or perhaps where a board plugs in. Also, do you get sound out of the headphones? That's about all I can think of, maybe some of the heavyweights here will chime in.

Hi, Yes, Rest done and also all speakers enabled, inputs assigned. I have checked the board, no component was bent and cables are intact. I couldnt check the sound out of headphones yet. But what does it indicate , if sound doesnt come out ? Static Electricity has killed many a component.
