Finally fixed this Pioneer!!!
I bought another VSX-LX55, sold as working but it put up UE22 after a couple of days and stopped working too. The eBay seller refunded me and said keep it...
I looked at my VSX-2021 again and the DSP firmware part was showing *** instead of numbers. The manual shows the firmware is stored in a nearby 8 pin flash chip, IC9004. So I took the flash chip from the 55 and copied it to the one in the 2021.
This got the 2021 working fully again, so my DSP chip replacement from China was a success. All I need to do now is replace the DSP chip on the 55 too and both will be working again.
I updated this post as I have the working DSP flash dump for IC9004 if anyone has the same problem after DSP replacement due to a failed firmware update.

hello, and I have a vsx-2021 and suddenly the hdmi output on the TV no longer works, I bought another professional cable and nothing, I updated everything perfectly without errors, but hdmi out still does not work, a tip thank you very much

optical output works, rca output works, dvd, bd output, or the rest connected to the laptop works but where are the hdmi out ports it seems that it has no sound from the television on it does not appear any error, hours of operation in the service menu are 13793h

Can you clarify this problem... Do you have audio from the speakers connected to the receiver? Do you have a picture on screen from HDMI but no audio from the tv speakers?
The receiver needs be set to pass audio to the tv in the audio menu if you want sound from the tv speakers. The normal setting is for sound to go to the speakers wired to the receiver.

If you mean the ARC (audio return channel) doesn't work, then it may be a setting in the tv audio menu or the control with HDMI in the Pioneer which needs to be changed.
I had the HDMI output chip fail on my Pioneer but only output 1 stopped working. Have you tried it with a different tv to make sure it's not a tv fault?

yes, ARC does not work, I made all the settings I tried a televizos Samsung connects and the connection disappears, if I connect through another source for example on optical cable it works, but with hdmi not

at vsx2021 there are 2 hdmi out outputs, but none play sound when I connect ARC, but I noticed that if I connect the TV in hdmi out 2, when I enter the reciewer in the menu it appears on the TV, but if I connect on hdmi 1 no reciewer menu appears on TV, and I have no sound

ARC function is only supported on HDMI output 1 but you should get the receiver menu on screen from both output 1 and 2.
This sounds like the HDMI chip for output 1 may have failed. I would try a factory reset on the receiver first to make sure. Press the power and enter buttons together while in standby and choose yes when presented with reset choice.

I tried another TV now, and it does something like that, I turn on the HDMI SETUP CONTROL OFF AND AFTER WHICH CONTROL ON AND hdmi appears on the tv and it starts and plays for 10 seconds and disconnects, is it very strange why?

I did a factory reset, but it also connects, it only disconnects on hdmi out 1, on hdmi out 2 it doesn't sound at all but the image with reciewer menu gives but on hdmi 1 it gives sound and it disconnects in 10 seconds but the image doesn't!

Are any of your video sources or tv a lot newer than the receiver, for instance a 4k blu ray player? Have you recently added a new up to date component??
If so, this might be a problem with HDCP copy protection.
