My receiver is distorting on the center channel only. It becomes apparent at volumes above 18.
I’ve done the usual swap speakers, FW update, receiver reset.
I’ve attempted to reball the DSP chip as this tends to cause loss of audio in these receivers, but after two attempts, it hasn’t changed the distortion (I did install a heat sink anyway while I was in there).
I also attempted to test all the caps and resistors in line on the center channel but I’m only a hobby tech so I’m thinking I missed something.
Any thoughts on what part of the circuit could cause these symptoms so I can go back in and re check it? Thanks in advance.
