Hello. At first, sorry for my english. I have old recciver Yamaha RX-V775 where now is no sound ~1-2 minutes after switching on(Pure direct working always). I dissasemblied it and found, what this is problem in DSP chip D80YK113CPTP4. If i try to heat it with hair dryer - sound on and icons on display is too, if i tried to cold it with air, no sound and no icons. At work we a resolder this chip, but without success. I think what i need to replace this chip to a new. At Ali i found my chip with price ~30 eur and newer version D80YK113DPTP4. Now i trying to find information - can i just to replace broken chip to new, or i need flash to new chip some firmware?

3 days i tried to find info about it. In russian forum i found that after replacing this chip in Yamaha, need to just make reciver update - this option must to flash DTS chip too. But in other messages people wrote what replacing and reciver updating don't change situation. Where is true? If i put newer version of this chip D80YK113DPTP4 - will i have some new problem?
I found many instruction how to make Dump for DTS chips in Onkyo, but i didn't find any info about Yamaha. May be someone has or make small manual for this procedure?

Anybody can't help? May be you know, can i connect adapter RS232 to chip DSP for making dump nand? I found that this chip has JTAG interface, . Is it true, that i need JTAG programmer or dump i can to make with simple RS232? Pins 150, 152, 153, 155, 156.

Due to low heating, heat sink/Ground plate detached from chip when your pulling time , New chip will be with ground plate, so remove the groud plate from the board and clean the pads , i was talking about the firmware chip(8 lead flash IC) it may be near to DSP or other side of the board, Where you located ?

srt, when new chip is caming to me i will try to resolder flash, now reciver already assembled and connected with speakers. I'm in Estonia. Unfortanly, all repair services in my city can't this repair, they want just replace "motherboard". May be they can just replace chips without garantee. If new chip working(aliexpress...) it must be reflashed after update revicer via USB. If in this moment somthing go wrong, i lost my 35eur for new chip. I wanted to make backup of my NAND flash, but how i undersud i need NAND flash programmer, unfortanatly, with price ~100 eur. May be it is cheaper, but i didn't found.
I'm working at factory, where i have air soldering station. I think, i will try to heat this chip from two side of board simultaneously for detuching chip. I want to buy special soldering paste with temperature just 90-160C and put it for ground of new chip. After this i may be have repaired reciver, may be i buy new.

if you do proper soldering i hope new chip will work without doing any re programming/Flashing as you were getting sometimes sound before, For soldering the new chip you can use soldering iron. For central part/ ground plate soldering you can use hot air station, you have to make sure no pad are broken and no soldering bridge between legs of new DSP after soldering.

I'm thinking about buying the chip and replacing it but I wanted to know if this D version of the chip works well. thanks Frank
