I have a strange problem with an onkyo tx-nr686. I'm really desperate now, this happened just overnight, the amp is just 2 year old.
It has this loud noise.
Tried disconnecting all the speakers, leaving just one and try music from BT, music can be heard but the high noise is on top.
Here is a video of the sound:
Any clue will be highly appreciated. Thank everyone in advance!

That sound comes from all the speakers? I have never heard that before.

Yes, it doesnt matter what you use. Even with headphones you can hear the noise

I would suspect something that is common, the (or a) power supply.

You need to isolate at what stage the noise is introduced. Do the followings: 1) Connect the subwoofer output to an audio amp and see if you get this hissing. If there's no hissing, it means your DAC, DIR and the digital volume control/audio switcher are good. The problem is from the power amp section. The power amp section is discrete for each channel. The only thing they have in common is the power supply. 2) If you get hissing in the subwoofer output, you'll need to isolate if the problem comes from your analogue stage (i.e. the digital volume control) or from the DAC/DIR section. To do this, configure your amp to take the input from an analogue source. Give an input signal to the Audio-In port you selected. If you get hissing, it's the digital volume control giving the problem. Check the power supply for this chip and the op-amps. If you don't get hissing, it's your DAC/DIR stage went wrong. That will be a lot more work to look into.
