Guys Sure do like my Bag End Infra 18 Subwoofers (two) but the intermittent popping is disconcerting. These are around fourteen years old and I am not getting much support at the factory------they don't seem to have schematics even..... Each 18 has a built-in 400wrms amp and rolls off at 95 hz. All suggestions are appreciated. I am fairly technical and I have scope and meter etc. but clueless where to start. If it was my subwoofer I would personally start by unscrewing the woofer and checking all the connections inside, I would reflow old or cracked connections. I would recommend DeoxIT as well, it's a great contact cleaner for any boards (if any) inside the subwoofer as well.
Check all connections and be sure to check that there is no other wires near it that could cause interference with the cable connected to the subwoofer.
