I have just picked up this receiver with this issue and I'm wondering, if anybody has encountered this issue before. It can't be reset, or done anything to the receiver, except to respond to the questions that the setup brings up. When is done with it, it tells me to remove the microphone, and it is stuck on that screen. I can't get out from this state, no matter which button I select. Sometimes, it just dies(goes in standby) during this process. It could be a bad amp channel, corrupted firmware? Any input would be appreciated.

Took the whole thing apart and I was horrified on what I have seen at the bottom of the bottom board. The bottom board has a huge crack on the pcb. Right through the middle, where are a bunch of very narrow traces. I have managed to join them, but I'm not sure how solid is that repair. I'm afraid that when I pop the board back, some of those joints may crack. Some I had to join with like capacitor leg wire, that makes it a bit stronger, I guess, some wide track I have joint with a big blob of solder, but still I don't know how could I strengthen that area a bit better. Pretty much all the surround channel's final transistors are all measuring wonky. I will need to measure all the components on all those channels, yeah I'm looking forward to do that(sad face). I thought, that this will be a simple reset job.

I have repaired many of broken boards like you are doing and they were just fine strength wise? Just take your time to be sure all your solder connections are good.

I went over, and I think that I joined all of them, but what is weird, that all the surround final transistors show weird readings, like they conduct in each way, when I use the diode tester, but none of them are shorted(no beep). Also, the numbers are keep rising as well.
