I have got hold of a faulty Onkyo TX-676E. The only way it will come out of Hybrid Standby is via the ARC but the ON/Standby button still does not respond and there is no sound. I have the service manual but would like some guidance on where to start troubleshooting and/or would like to know if someone is familiar with this issue.
Thanks
Luke
Edit: was meant to add that i also dont have the remote for it so not sure if that gets it out of Hybrid Standby either

Check voltages at Power button switch and key0 rail , and it should be near 3.3volt , and also monitor if it goes to near 0volt while pressing the power button

Have you tried a factory reset ? If Hybrid standby is not the default then it will be cleared.

Are you saying you can't get it out of Hybrid standby mode ? I believe you can turn it off in the menu by finding HDMI THROUGH, and setting it to off.
I'm probably misunderstanding you...

What i am saying is the only way to bring it out of standby is via HDMI ARC. If i plug it in with nothing connected and hit the standby button nothing happens. I can live with controlling it with the phone app when it comes out of standby from HDMI ARC, the major problem is no sound.
