Just read through some of the posts all over the net. It seems there are tools, software, etc., that you can use to reflash the firmware to the receiver. Assuming you can find the firmware of that specific receiver. I'm also a victim of this update to brick protocol. Just updated my Denon AVR and now it is bricked. Says, connectionfail0e, obviously as this was bought used. Expired warranty. I'm just wondering if there is really such tool to connect your receiver to PC and do reflash from there. Would hate this receiver to go to waste, it was 100% working before the update. Silly me just couldn't resist a clear and present trap disguised as an update.
