I have a PR-SC5507 (pre-pro version of the NR3007) which I am trying to repair.
I replaced DSP1 on it with a genuine 'D' variant chip, which gave audio and network but no USB. After a further reflow, audio failed as well, so I reballed the original 'A' chip and reinstalled it. This looks OK (DSP1 firmware displayed correct) and network/USB are good but still no audio.
DSP3 now shows ? ? ? In the firmware, so I removed the flash chip and loaded a good file in it but still no go. I then replaced DSP3 as well but to no avail. I can only think the board itself is now damaged in some way as DSP3 and the firmware for it are both good. A forced DSP3 firmware update in diagnosis mode just stops and freezes at 98%.
If anyone has a 5507/3007 HDMI board, bchdm-0157, they want to sell, working or otherwise, please let me know as I don't really want to scrap this unit.
