I'm working on those numbers now.Let me know when your ready later. Ok ready and I measured and marked down some numbers. I named the single pin Center with it on the bottom and the other two pins on top are Left and right. So if its a Y bottom of Y is Center and the tops are left and right. So I found one that had an OL but I do not know what part it is because there is no marking on the board and I did not see it on the schematic or board layout drawing. EDIT: I think its Q215 from the ASO line. Also it read OL from +C to R and from +R to C it read .671 v And from C to L and L to C it read .171 v. I marked it here So Q216 with POS on first pin listed C to L .187 C to R .661 L to R .668 R to L 1.809 NEG on Center C to L .187 C to R 1.825 Q 211 With POS om First pin listed C to L .757 C to R 1.824 L to R .680 R to L .664 Neg on Center C to L 1.155 C to R .651Q 217 POS on First Pin Listed C to L .187 C to R .653 L to R .665R to L 1.808 Neg on Center C to L .187 C to R 1.809 Q 209 POS on first pin
C to L .186 C to R .678 L to R .665 R to L .674
Neg on Center
C to L .187 C to R .665
thats all for now let me know what you think?

Mac I'll be headed home soon from work. I have not removed those SMD transistor from the back side of the board that are part of the protect circuit. Should I begin on those?
And I still have to test the SMD transitors on the CPU board where the other part of the detect circuit is.

Well a big advantage to this situation is the huge upswing in troubleshooting experience. You have probably learned more from this adventure then a pile of others. Hopefully you have been following along on your schematic and can formulate how I chose to make decisions on where to be looking and what you should be looking for, which I know you have. I will get some readings here in a little while. I have some what from this but more from the Marquee CLM's you helped me with but those were much easier as I know the schematics inside out on the Projectors and the theory of operation. That is one thing I wished these service manuals had. There were many times you were telling me to remove parts and i was thinking I wish he would explain to me why i had to remove that part. My problem is rushing to test again for turn on and stay on. I now know fist all DC has to be gone before we try to re set the protection circuit.

Oh No, I love the challenge. I'll keep at it. The thing is it worked for 10-15 minutes before I tried to use the Optical in then it shut off. But one set back after another is annoying for sure but it is making me more adamant about fixing it and saying Screw you pioneer engineers!!!!! Nashou

So DC 3 and 4 at the amp connector is 0 with the harness disconnected? oops reverse all those numbers. Sorry the connector twists and I got confused. DC 4= - 2.3 DC3= - 2.183 ASO=-.000 RADI = -.001 TR = -.000 I'm wondering if the DC_PRO circuit is feeding the voltage?

FL= -.066 FR= +5.87 C= +5.8 SL= +4.4 SR = +4.3
Protect lines
TR= - 2.3 RADI= - 2.183 ASO=-.000 DC 3 = -.001 DC 4 = -.000
But i tried to start it like that last night and it showed overload error on screen with protection disconnected

disconnect the protect harness and retest at connector on amp board. I'm wondering if it is backfeeding. I had the same thought last night I did test that in one of my previous posts but I don't think I got specific. Will do now....

It still shuts down.
FL= -.113 FR= Jumps around between +.827 to .887 C= " " " +.9 to .95 SL= " " " +.82 to .86 SR = " " " + .88 to .9
Protect lines
TR= .257 RADI= .255 ASO=-.000 DC 3 = .639 DC 4 = .638

Since at this point you have pretty low voltages on your output lines I would like you to connect all harnesses and bring it out of protection and see if it stays on. usually you need below .1v to not go into protect but lets see where you are at. If it still shuts down I want all the voltages again on the output lines and the protect lines. And be specific. Will do when I get home. Nashou

I brought the board to work with me as I had a feeling you'd ask me something. SL channel: R545,554,555,568,561,562. D422,D421. FR Channel: R458,483,474,475. D410,D409 All amps are also out the Smaller one like Q409, Q 445 etc.... Nashou

Ok, let me look over all this stuff tomorrow. To tired right now. The .08 might just be ok. Your meter might just be picking up stray voltage. Is the harness still connected to CP402? Yes it was connected the entire time. That is where I was measuring the voltages from. Nashou

Ok Still - .08 and 1 volt or less on all others. I'm stumped

ok FL is now -.200 where it stabilizes. the rest are the same.
R411 is coming out now.
But i just wanted to see something. I pulled the Protection cable and re measured all the voltages. they all went up to 2.xx but FL went down to - .08.
Re connected the Protection cable and all went down a volt but FL stayed at - .08
Hmmmmmmmmmm
