Ok I measured at R 493 for the -54 the top leg of Q417 was -51 and J536 was -51 as well.
I think those are good points

DC DET3=1.5
DC DET4=1.255 that is the white wire which is on the bottom. I measure on the CPU Assembly connector.

Ok I got about 54 +/- VDC on HighB+ and HIGH B- respectfully and I measured the one side of R493 as it was easier to get to than the center leg of Q 417. I hope that was correct. That measure -54 VDC as well.

You were correct to jump pins 1 and 2. There is no need to attempt to turn it on. It is on even though there is no display. You can begin testing. Just remember when it is plugged in, it is powered up. Be careful. Test for B+ and B- and the output of Q417 first. I added a pic is that right place?

How hard is it to get at connectors CP402, CP403 and CP404 on the amp board while it is still together? these are all on the amp board correct? I can see designation for CP403 the others I assume 402 and 404. one has the thermal marking and DC DET they go to a vertical board on the side. I can remove the HDMI board and swing it out of the way while it is still connected. the other two have the transformer in the way a bit but I maybe be able to get a probe ingot he connectors but not from the bottom of the board. Nope, nothing no shorts between neg and pos speaker outs. Just turns on for a few seconds then shuts down.

Probably wouldn't hurt to ohm test each speaker outs across the pos and neg to see if there are any shorts. Even though the relays are open. okee dokee

I have seen where on the back side of those binding posts, the metal strap that runs down the back and into the board had become bent from a bump on the binding post and the pos strap was touching the ground strap, if you know what I mean. They are not far apart. I'll have to look closer when I get home. Nashou
