I have the same problem. I found that if I just barely hit the start button while it's running, the red light comes on, and it produces power fine. I repeated this a few times, and always seems to work. I hate to do it, since it is engaging the starter for a fraction of a second while running. Any ideas? Thanks!
Update since post above which no longer works.....Now the red light does not come on at all unless I continue to hold the start button after engine starts. When I release the start button, engine keeps running fine, but red light goes off, thus no current. Again...any ideas? Thanks!
Update #2....I came back an hour later, started it up normally, and all works fine. I have a feeling it will happen again where I don't have current, so still would like opinions on what is happening.
