All buttons on TV work, but when I get to the very last step there is no way to hit enter.
When I press the power button the set powers on and displays a Vizio Logo with a black background. Without a source connected, every input displays "No Signal" on a blue background.
I connected a Blu-ray player via HDMI. The set displays "Receiving Data" for a few seconds on a black background, then goes completely black and nothing... I tried this with every other HDMI input (1, 3, side). Same on all. I will try with component and composite sources tomorrow.

No. We're having our young nieces and nephew over this weekend so I don't want to pull it apart just yet. I can do that in a week.

I can't perform a factory reset because the TV doesn't register signals from the remote. Fresh batteries, nothing. Programmed an old Logitech Harmony, nothing.
Unless you have any ideas, I'll start looking for a new main board.

No firmware updates from what I can tell. I will check on doing a factory reset.

Just got this home after buying it from Craigslist. I was told that the one day one of the HDMI inputs went out and over the course of a couple weeks/months each of the rest of the HDMI inputs went out. Composite should still work. I'll hopefully try each and every input when I get home tomorrow, but unless this is an easy fix I might just buy a new mainboard and call it a day. My wife wants this out of the house as quickly as possible. It's one thing to have a bunch of receivers being fixed in our never used basement. It's another to have a (couple of) TV's cluttering up the rest of the house.
MT are there any service bulletins that might lead me to the possible failure of the HDMI inputs?

Parts should be here by tomorrow, but I have a wedding to drive to and attend. Hopefully I get a chance to work on it next week.
Also picking up a 55" VIZIO VF551XVT with a "No Signal" issue today.

Powered it up, and it still goes into protect mode. Noticed that C5708 looks bulged. Similar to the last one, I'm just going to replace:
Q5702= KSA992FTA C5708= 100uf/100v R5704= 100ohm/1watt R5703= 4.7ohm/1watt
Well, I'm going to replace C5708 and order parts for the other 3. I'll put a meter to them when I next get a chance.

The plan is to briefly power up the unit to see if it will go into protect mode or not. If it doesn't, I'll order new parts and replace, then put back together and test with the working HDMI board.
If it does go into protect mode, I'll continue to look for bad parts.

I will want to revisit the two bad HDMI boards, but at a later date. I went a little crazy buying up broken Denon and Pioneer AVR's, so I'm going to focus on those first before heading back to the HDMI issue. Got a feeling it's the IC721 and I don't have the soldering capabilities to replace it.

Wife told me about 10 days ago that the air wasn't working. Took it into the dealer a week ago and they diagnosed that the AC compressor wasn't actuating. Unfortunately we're passed the mileage limit on the 5 year/60k bumper to bumper. Fortunately I argued that the mileage shouldn't matter on a part like the AC compressor. Hyundai corporate partly agreed, they're covering 50% of the repair. Dealership has to order the part, it's supposed to be in today.
When I say it wasn't working, it wasn't getting cold. It was just blowing warmish air for the 30 minute ride to work the day I dropped it at the dealership. They checked the freon and it was fully charged.
I drive the car to work today and all of a sudden the AC is working.
I don't have to tools to change out the compressor myself, but I'm wondering if they're initial diagnosis is still possible. I'd rather not just throw parts at the issue.

Though I only have one good HDMI board, I'd still like to get this receiver fixed. Took a DMM to the finals and the FR channel is the only one different from the others.
First step will be desoldering Q5505 and Q5506.
Which components should I take a look at?
From the other thread (and converting from SR to FR), I'm guessing... R5519 and R5521 0.47 ohm, you have to lift 1 leg to test because parallel. R5520 and R5522, 0.47 ohm, "same as above" ZD5502 and ZD5504 D5503 and D5505 Q5504, Q5501 and Q5502 R5515 and R5516 5.6k Ohm R5517 and R5518 4.7 Ohm

When I went into the Audio settings I noticed that I couldn't choose "Surround Parameters", "Tone" or "Dialogue Level" as they were greyed out. This time I went through the "Initial Setup" and told the unit that I had a center and surround speakers hooked up. Finally sound is coming through on each channel. This one is fixed.
