Try to use a flashlight on the screen, in a dark room and see if there is an image on the screen.

Most likely capacitors in the PS. Replace them all, in the secondary section, with Panasonic FC, or FM series from Digikey.

Relay latches, only if I hold the power button for like 10 seconds. Then it's on, showing Power on, on the display. Yesterday, I have picked up a "broken"(customer returned receiver, from Newegg) Onkyo TX-SR333. When powered on, it did the right clickings, but nothing would show up on the display. When I opened it up, a connector that goes to the front board, it was not connected.(!) Easy repair. After connecting it, it was working as it should.

I agree. Maybe, that 0V it was my mistake, I can't explain it. Now, every time I measure it, it shows 4.14V at the power supply connector and 4.3V at the front connector. Now I realize it, that I haven't posted the readings when on or off.

I have just tested the parts around the transistor. The power supply board, should be in the receiver with everything connected, or I can take the measurement, with the board outside?
