My Marantz av preamplifier AV8805 is not outputting video through HDMI i have updated firmware i have reset the unit but no video is coming out of both hdmi  |

i have tried hadmi diagnostics and have the following error Description “V1-06”: Copyright Protection certification Error with Source
Device. (HDCP Error).
1 changed monitor hdmi cable whatever possible but i couldnt get video out put

What are you feeding HDMI into the receiver with? |

Hello annapl, for me sound it more like a HDMI Encoder IC failure when on all HDMI Out you get zero picture 😉 You must look when you remove that top case what for a Typ you have on that big red arrow market IC I make for you ✌️ I guess it is a Panasonic one but you need the correct Typ than but for that are these pictures I found to blurry sadly…   I hope that I help you a little with that guess I have because all HDMI Out‘s goes true these big HDMI Encoder IC it seems for me 😉 |

thanks i tried all pc monitor, projector
different hdmi cable
will it work if i change the HDMI Encoder IC?

These HDMI Encoder IC control your HDMI Out‘s on that HDMI Board so it is in my opinion the problem child now that you get no HDMI output anymore.
Have you remove the top cover already to check what for a manufacture (I guess Panasonic) and Version it is?
I mean when you can get a real genuine than it should work after replace yes but so far I found out are only fake parts to find when you need these…

Perfect looks identical what I found on the www but sure your picture is way better 👍 Ok so my guess was right with Panasonic from the manufacture than nice so you need „only“ now one genuine MN864787 Version from that IC. That can be now a problem to get one that is no fake IC and a real one 😙 Also when you not do such big QFP style replacement before than I would let it otherwise you destroy the IC and your expensive HDMI Board also. That Panasonic MN864787 have a big ground pad under it and that need not less heat than to fit it that is even more tricky to do successfully 😉  |
