Hey guys, I'm looking for help to fix my Pioneer VSX-923. The only issue it has that the subwoofer output stopped working, pretty annoying, as the sounds is very flat now. The sub itself is fine (it makes noise when I tap the RCA cable with my finger) and I also tried to factory reset the unit. Tried enabling the sub manually in the MCACC settings. Firmware is the latest version. I think I tried to do the MCACC Auto setup three times and at one point the sub did make some noise but after that one occurence, nothing...
So I opened up the unit, hoping I would see something visually, like a failed capactior or bad connection, but everything seems fine. The board that has de subwoofer preout also has analog in (cd), which I use for my record players and that works fine. I realize that without a service manual I'm not going to get far so I'm hoping someone here could put me on the right track. Looking at the PCB's I think it's very similar to the 1123. Many thanks!

Well, after throwing it back together the subwoofer did sing again. So I don't know why or how, but I'm happy it's fixed!
