Hi Guys, Below is a list of capacitors that I found to be leaky in my SEOS 808s. Some were leaking bad enough for the copper barrel to have started to be eaten away. Convergence drive board R7625189 C26. This cap had eaten half the barrel away. Check the leg on the negative. Mine was green and the solder was really dull. Focus board R762514 C3 and C4. Both had started leaking. I changed all caps on this board. Most had higher ESR than they should of had. Vertical board R762808 C157. RGB driver board R762720 C228 C328,C428. These caps were causing the picture to drop out. I chanced all the cap on this board with high quality low ESR ones. Also did all the caps on the switcher board.
Greg.

Hello Greg. Welcome here. Nice work on those boards. It's a shame having all those leakers. But at least you were able to get them. Glad it all worked out well for you. Keep posting the good work. It is appreciated.

The unit came from a planetarium. It has 32000 hours on the clock. The green tube showed very faint ware. Could not see it on the screen. It has P16 and P 18 tubes. I picked up new in the box a green and a blue tube. I picked them up really cheap and they are P16 for a 1208.fitted the only the green at this stage. I have also fitted a new Moome 1.4 card. I made up some adaptors and fitted a set of HD145 lens I got from Case. The picture is unbelievable. I will get some screen shots and put them on the screen shot thread.

My 909 came from a planetarium as well, 22,754 hours on the green and blue, 14,400 on the red. Almost no wear on the blue and green.
