This is the Integra 80.3 DSP chip. I was wondering if anyone knows what size template will work with this chip for balling a new replacement IC.
Thanks and best regards, craigr

I guess you are looking for the pin pitch. The pin arrangement is 16 X 16 and you could probably measure the chip itself.

Thing is I dont have the chip here yet and I would like to get a template on hand so that I can get this thing repaired quickly once the chip arrives. You don't have a data sheet for this IC do you MAC (or one similar to it)? I haven't been able to locate a data sheet, though admittedly I haven't looked very hard yet Thanks, craigr

The new chip did not come with balls? >snicker<
Many times they do, or didn't it specify?

Well I ordered it from China so who knows what's going to show up. The image for the chip does show it has balls So hopefully it will be a moot point. craigr

I am curious as to what you get so keep me updated. I did not find any datasheets. Not even for a comparable ic number.

So the chip came with balls and the repair was mostly successful. However, every now and then the receiver can't lock onto an incoming HDMI audio signal. Instead of the sound track, I just hear noise (luckily not loud). If I change modes (or cycle modes) the receiver will lock on and work perfectly. I fought with the DSP because I thought this was the issue, but then the customer came out and told me that it was doing this before it broke... THANKS FOR TELLING ME THAT NOW!!! So there are probably two different issues with the HDMI board.
So I have another DSP here on another HDMI board that I am going to reball instead of replace. I ordered some balls with very high lead concentration that I think will help keep the DSP better adhered to the board.
We'll see.
