I prefer to open a new topic for no interfere to other where I try to solve the issue of my Cinemax. In pictures you can see two vertical boards that I own. Above is R7631415 native Cine9/909 Below is R7628085 I think from Cine8. The boards appear absolutely identical. Same PCB number, same components placed. I noticed only one difference: in the Cine8 board there's one SR resistor that Cine 9/909 board don't have. Edit: there are some differences between the boards. Not only one.

For diagnostic purpose it is ok swapping the boards. To let the one from Cine 8 in there for good it is not advisable because of different vertical autolocking ( 15-110 KHz for Cine 8 and 32-180KHz for Cine Max ). Otherwise the cards are identical. Don't worry about that resistor, often there are small differences ( improvements ) to be seen on boards with the same R nr. Give it a try to see if the projector is responding different.

He already tried this board and is caused the P/S to squeal, which would be a new problem.

I'm wondering if you have more then 1 problem board. Can you try your Cine 8 vert board with your friends SMPS?

My friend is far from here. However yes ... this board cause squeal from SMPS so I exclude this board in my test.

As I said in another thread I noticed that in the diagram of R7631415 board there are extra notes that explain the differences between the boards. My project is to mod the R7628085. Stay tuned.

Could you post the schematics of the R7628085?
I could not find it in the service manuals section.
Ok I think the R7631415 schematic says to look for the vallues between brackets, those are the R7628085 vallues. You need some smd caps.

You must open the schematic of R7631415 and seek the notes.

Yes I see. Each time you see a value like (150p) next to 100p in the case of C103 you would have to replace the 150p cap with a 100p one. There are a lot of those. Did you see them?
The schematic says: 'Values between brackets: R7628085' this means that the vallues between (...) are the R7628085.

Yes I will check how many components are different.

I did a list of necessary components. There are several smd resistors, caps and two transistors. The problem is the availability of these components. None is present in my 808's convergence driver donor board
