In my Cinemax the wired remote is always dead. Yesterday I checked the voltages that come from motherboard. There is a multipolar connector with four pins. There are correct ++9 and 5v. So the issue in my opinion is in built-in remote unit. Hulio has posted the diagram of this unit. Thank you Hulio repairalmostanything.proboards.com/post/4771/thread/182

As it was suggested check Z2 if it is not opened (test just like any other diode), also check Z5 for short.

The internal remote only uses the ++9v so remove the remote from the panel and measure on the pcb of the remote if the ++9v is present pin4 is ground pin2 is ++9v ,if not present check wires and connector for break (ohm meter ,projector power of). If present measure over r42 or c6 or c7 (you can choose ) if the +3v is present ,if not check z2 .

As it was suggested check Z2 if it is not opened (test just like any other diode), also check Z5 for short. Seems not short. Meter set in diode show 929 for Z2. 945 for Z1. There isn't Z5. 710 for D10

Then check if you have +3v on r42 or c6 or c7 .

When you measure ++9v on the remote pcb pin 2 the negatieve lead of the voltmeter is also on the remote pcb pin 4 right? Just to be sure you are not using the projector as a ground.

Then check if you have +3v on r42 or c6 or c7 . Absolutely no voltages in C6 or C7. There isn't R42 in my pcb. However I just checked a broken line in the pcb. See picture below. Now I solder this hole and will report the results.
