Hey everyone,
So after a power outage the other night my RX-V671 was displaying Internal Error.
After finding a few resources online, I opened the unit up and shorted two pads near IC89. While shorted I did the 'Info' and 'Tone Control' button sequence and set the Model back to RX-V671 and everything worked great. I removed the jumper and buttoned the unit back up. I plugged in everything and took it for a test run and everything worked great.
Today I went to turn the unit on and it's dead. No power. I did get it to come up once or twice using the 'Info' and 'Tone Control' sequence but every time I hit the power button I couldn't get it to turn back on.
Caps on AC/DC board visibly look okay.
Not sure where to start on the debugging with this. Was hoping for some guidance. I also don't have the repair manual.
Any help is appreciated.

Hmm, this one could be a little iffy. These had cpu problems to begin with and a power outage could of done something. Here is the manual. You can do some voltage checks and maybe you will get lucky and just lost a regulator or something. Yamaha RX-V671 Service manual

Yes, I remember. There were a couple other Yamaha's that diagnosed down to the CPU also.
