So I finally got around to this runco I've had around for a while. I finally got the other equipment gathered to get it all up and running properly and it works perfect. (talk about a bright a super sharp image!!)
Problem is, the projector displays "Change the lamp" in the lower right corner of the screen and it wont go away. I gained access to the installer menu but all I can do in there is change the projector orientation, keystone, remote settings, and a view the lamp hours.
Any help is appreciated!!

Okay so I found this little reset button by the inputs of the projector, and managed to reset the lamp counter, but then the damn lamp literally exploded after the reset (first lamp to blow for me!! woo hoo!).
So I put a new lamp in, fire the projector back up, but it keeps getting the TEMP indicator lighting solid red, which the User manual is indicating that its a fan issue. I haven't opened the projector yet so I don't know what the actual problem is yet...
Today has been one of those days... :-\ lol

Well I would check the fans but if they are all functioning then I would look at the lamp thermal switch. The heat from the exploding lamp may have triggered it open and it did not close after it cooled back down.

Well I would check the fans but if they are all functioning then I would look at the lamp thermal switch. The heat from the exploding lamp may have triggered it open and it did not close after it cooled back down. Good advice to check the fans. I pulled 2 of them off the projector so I could blow them out (it was pretty damn dusty in there) and when I mounted them back on, I didn't remember to plug the lamp fan back in! (D'oh!) As for the temp error... that was the first lamp exploding, the 2nd lamp not wanting to stay lit, the 3rd lamp not staying lit very long... (wow!) The 4th lamp is brand spanking new genuine OSRAM and working beautifully. So in the end I'm glad I took it apart to clean it out anyway, and learn a bit about a true Runco digital. Quite the piece of A/V equipment I must say. I'll have to compare it against the Qualia and the VW200... On a bit of a side note, I did get the VW200 to finally power on! Too bad it doesn't stay on (shuts down, standby LED blinks red 6 times, but is able to be powered right back on, and then its basically just a loop of the same events) Yay for digital hell
