I have a dish Network Vip 622 DVR reciever that would loose the signal and also have macro blocking of the image. At first I thought I had a misaligned Dish but my other receiver had no signal loss or macro blocking . I have been meaning to look at it for over a year and retired it to my theater and used the non DVR box for every day. Well today I decided to finally open it up and have a looksie . Yep about 5 bulging caps. here is the removed board So I changed them out with caps I had that were close in value. Here is what my little parts tester revealed with the bad caps 2 caps were 880uf 6.3vdc and 3 were 1200uf 6.3 VDC I ended up using 1000uf 35vdc for all as thats what I had. New caps are much larger but there is a lot of room in this chassis. There were also some other low end caps of 220uf 25vdc I decided to change out as well. After the changes the Receiver is working great. So if you have one of these doing the same thing it was an easy fix. Nashou
