Anyone know why the deflection and focus yokes of 1209s are rotated by 180 degrees?

From each other or compared to other projectors?

Compared to other projectors. I have (or had) Cine7, 808 and Cinemax. All have yokes with connectors upper. In 1209s the yokes are rotated by 180 degrees so the connectors are under the tubes.

Who knows? Do those yokes have more wires connected as well? Its probably just the way they decided to do it at the time

Possible someone did not know how to do the scan reversal and just rotated everything. Check and compare scan reversal settings of another set.

Yes this is a good explain. But if you see the pictures of service manual of 1208s or 1209s you can see that the yokes are rotated as I said.

Just see the pictures of others projectors, they have all rotated yokes.

Id hardly consider it important though, it wont make any real difference.
