I've got a Mitsubishi HC1600 DLP projector that had a busted color wheel. I replaced it and the projector is once again working (nice and quietly too compared to first time I powered it on) but the colors arent displaying correctly, and it's probably due to the colorwheel index needing to be adjusted.
I couldnt find anything on the internet as far as a service manual went, and I didnt come across anyone that had a code or some sort of key sequence to do it either. Wondering if you do MT?

If the info I have is correct, try doing a factory reset in engineering mode. What ever that is.
For service mode try this. Press and hold the "resync, source and enter" buttons.

Are those buttons on the remote? The unit itself only has an enter button, the "source" buttons are "Video" & "Computer" and There isnt a Resync button, just auto position.

I do not know. Try other button combinations with the source and enter buttons to see if the service menu comes up. It does not say buttons on the remote. That info is from the HC2000 manual. So I do not know if it is the same but most of the time the same series units use the same procedure.

I got it, the HC2000 is a way different model, which explains why the buttons were different. The HC1600 is similar to the HC1500, and 3000, and a few others. I adjusted the index and,... well lets just say the colorwheel I have wont work, dammit! I even bought the (Wrong, but close enough) service manual to do this (which is how I figured it out). Oh well, at least I can adjust it properly when I get the correct wheel!
