Im now losing HV all together. Runs for a couple minutes at the most, then the image fades as it expands away to nothing....
I remember having this happen before but cant recall what i did to fix it.

After an hour of off time i pulled the quad out, still very warm...
Split in the potting.
The arcing episode mustve put it under a bit of undue stress.

That's too bad ,another dead quad.
Anyone knows in what range the impedance is when air gets conductive and creates an arc ?

Hi I did not read all but your problems started after you changed a tube? Did you try to change the tube back? Some tubes ar bad from the factory. Sorry if this was already addressed.

God yeah, first thing i did!! The tube was sold to me as new and that was what i asked for, but its been used before. Why it was removed from a set and it's LC housing if it worked makes no good sense does it. |

That's too bad ,another dead quad. Anyone knows in what range the impedance is when air gets conductive and creates an arc ? No idea, but it depends on so many factors too. For this quad to blow out through the potting the way it has, id say one or more of the caps in there had gone short. |
