Hi all i did some further setup today to compare my computer to the OPPO 103D on the Barco Cine 9. After setting up the PC on 1920x1080 @48hz via HDMI into the internal MOOME and getting the colour balance as good as i could, it seems very sharp and clear, but when checking clipping the red and blue pass, but the green does not. I am only able to use the OPPO at 60Hz, which is not quite as sharp with Darbee turned off, but setting Darbee to about 35-40 makes it look sharper and more detailed than the PC. I have Power DVD 13 ULTRA, but i cant find any settings that are simular to the Darbee. The clipping does not seem to be an issue with the OPPO either, not sure why it is with the PC, or why it only affects green.

Have you tried HPC-HC? Despite its simple look it is a very powerfull software including many audio and video filters. Video filters usualy using the GPUs shader processors, they include like sharpen complex etc. But of course you can play with the video card's "built in" video enhacement effects as well. The problem of the green clipping isn't caused by the 16-235 <-> 0-255 output mismatch?

No i tried that, made no difference to the green whether it was set on 16-235 or 0-255, but the red and blue were correctly displayed on 16-235.
Seemed odd, but i was also starting to get some pretty bad streaking on the green too.
Ive spent the last 3-4 hours installing the new green, which fixed the streaking, as well as being a hell of alot sharper.

During the testing I made with the H-DEF retrace evaluation on the XG, I found that timings that has less blanking time than what XG likes will cause immediate streaking and different color/brightness problems due to tight video clamping. The XG has -unfortunately - way too much blanking time in the 30-77KHz range for standard HD timings. For these my idea on taking over the control of retrace times in the XG can be a good solution -if it works...
