I'd like to change a tube in a PG xtra, the donor tube is from a G70, so was about 5 min to remove it from the hardware. Now I spent the whole morning to release the the old tube from the NEC hardware -without success. As I see I should remove the front glass, then I'd have to peel out the tube from the hardware. I fail to proceed the first step, I tried with sharp hobby knife, and even with razor blade. Any advice?

Yeah mate, soak it in petrol or turpintine so the silicone is submerged, and leave it like that a few days.
Itll come out
