Anytime an amplifier goes into protect mode with all speakers disconnected means there is something wrong in either the amp section, power supply or the protection circuit. The task is to determine which section first and then locate the problem parts. I looked to see if a service manual was available but none of my sources had one. Without the schematics I am not able to assist in where to test. According to Ebay this is not a very expensive unit so I don't think it is worth spending much time on. If you have the complete setup I am sure the speakers and remote have some value left. But, just so you know, a failed speaker can cause damage to the amp so if you were to sell the speakers alone you probably should test them to be sure 1 or more is not burned closed and damage a potential customers amp.. If you want to throw the amp in a box I could take a quick peek at it.

The protect mode usually means that the output amplifier has a failure or overloaded (or false triggered by an other problem). What can you tell about the past of this unit? Is this happened from one day to the other? A typical cause of the amplifier overload/failure is a shorted speaker wire or speaker itself. So for the first step try to unplug all speakers and check if it stands up.

I would need the unit and remote. I do not need the speakers. It should fit in a box already coming to me.
