Main does not work with pass through enabled. Sub out works as it should.

What I notice is when I switch from Sub out to the main out it gives me the Resolution Error. When I run the HDMI diagnoses it gives me 480P/59 16:9 0P 24b #. Then I get the 11:0000400010D

I believe when you use pass through it bypasses the video processing section. But I don't know for sure on this model. But if it does and your voltages are all good as they appear to be then I would guess Q8000 is bad. But, if it does still go through processing then other factors can come in play. But at this point I have no further suggestions to give you. Sorry.

Where can I find a replacement Q8000?

Have you ever changed an ic like this before?

No but I have soldering experience and I can work on removing similar chips on other boards I have. Why what would the difficulty be ranked as?

I'm having some parts companies search for the part# 22242929R3. Would that be the correct number?

That ic has a center pad that is soldered to the board. You have to heat the chip body along with the legs to remove it and install the new one. Your heat has to be centralized so other parts on the board do not get damaged or fall off. Very difficult without the proper equipment.

Ah sounds similar to a BGA. I received a quote on the part for $175. Might just be better to just use the Sub Out, do I lose any features using Sub out?
