I thought I would start a new thread on Barco mods. Leave the screen shot thread for screen shots. So far my changes have been about reducing noise. All these changes have worked well together. I have been modding the port 3 RGB circuit with great picture results. But something is not quite right when I look at the 1:1. My next change will be to bypass the switching circuit and run the output from the moome straight into the x2 op-amp on the switcher board. Hi
If anyone is interested I repaired a controller a few weeks ago. The caps on the board had ESR readings of 80 ohms and up. They were not measerable once removed. It maybe worth while changing the caps if you have high hour board.

80 ohms! Wow, I'm shocked. I had hoped Barco had used better caps then other manufacturers.

They are the worst I have seen on Barco boards. The board has a lot of hours on it. It's now up and running again.

Was that a 909 controller?

I think it was. I picked it cheap not working. It came from Curt as a parts board. I decided to try and repair it before using it for parts.

Hi, It would be fun to try it. Do you have any blank boards? I would have most of the parts. Thanks, Greg.

You really need a good microscope to fix some of these boards. Not many people have invested in one. I use mine all the time.

Hi, It would be fun to try it. Do you have any blank boards? I would have most of the parts. Thanks, Greg. I have one last set blank PCBs from the prototype run. That means slight modification needs to be done to the PCB to get it working right, also the gamma circuit is somewhat problematic (so better to omit from that board). I basically could give those boards away for the cost of shipping...

MOOME internal, ultra fast op-amps on switcher and driver. peaking turned off blue defocused. Still needs some fine tuning that I will get back to after the 1292 is done. Very happy with the picture. I added screen shots in the screen shot thread of this combo.

Thanks for the great work I am following with interest! Seems I can download them. Something with the certificate of the side not being trusted???

Hi, Not sure on which pictures you can't see. There are 2 test patterns on my last post here. Or is there a problem with the ones in the screen shot thread? Thanks, Greg.
