Got Sharp TV here that has some blown parts. need service manual to identify. Also the 220uf 450v filter cap measured only 2 nf on my meters, used all of them just to be sure . Never seen a filter cap go bad before. I took the cover off and the top was bulging but did not break the vent creases .

Well no go. Replaced parts and nothing. Too late now to test further. Off to bed.

What all parts have you changed? What does it do or not do? Have you tested any voltages?

What all parts have you changed? What does it do or not do? Have you tested any voltages? Ic 903, R 985 and the main capacitor C907. On the rectifier I have -71 and + 80 or so. On one side of D924 I have 199vdc and on the other the meter goes wacky? pressing the power button does nothing.

Try replacing C955 and see if that 5v comes up.
Sorry to hear about your back. I know what that is like. Hope it gets better soon.

It is hard to tell if the 5v is just weak or something is pulling that line down. Since you do not have a good 5v with the harness disconnected.
Lets try powering up the PS itself. Disconnect that harness again and with it unplugged, jump pins 10 and 11. This will send the 5v into the standby to turn on the full PS. Wear safety glasses when you plug it in, in case any parts explode. Just plug it in and see what happens. If no smoke or parts flying then test to see if you have the 12v and 24v.

Should I leave the other two harneses connected that go to the LED driver board( i think thats what the board is called) ? Might be some time before I do this. Going to soak in my Jacuzzi with some epson salt for the back. Nashou

Disconnect them. Yes, go relax. Well, one of the hot water tanks I had unplugged so its going to take time for it to get enough hot water for the jacuzzi, so I'll go try this now. Cross fingers.
