This touch screen has been flaky in the past. If a power outage occurs it may or may not power back up normally. It has a 24 VDC external power supply I put it on a UPS to help protect it. Lost power the other night and the ups crapped out before the power was restored. Now it won't power back up again. I have 24 volts to the part next to the number 6 and that's where it stops. What are parts 6 and Z3 in the picture 1315498136736.bmp (900.05 KB)

It looks like a diode. There maybe a D before that 6 but was printed over.

On this side of the board power stops here. This is the first device for 24 VDC+ after the power connector. I can find ground or 24VDC- all over the board. When I ohm it out, sometimes it reads open and others about 190 ohms. Perhaps that was me unknowingly reversing the probes. If it is a diode then power must be going out on the bottom of the board. I have put it away for the night and won't have time to smash it with a hammer again until Tuesday night

Yeah, I hear that. You never know though. I have called manufacturers on many occasions and they happily emailed me the schematics. But then there were times they told me to get bent.
