Im having no sound and relay input relay click over issues on my Onkyo TX SR605 receiver amp ever since I used the Audessey speaker calibration mike for the first time. Im using only 2 8 ohm L & R traditional analogue Pioneer speakers and 2 4 ohm speakers as Zone 2 speakers on front high surround channel Have spent considerable time reading previous posts on the issues to do with the TI DSP processor reballing, regeatingf and the issues to do with the capacitors on the HDMI inputs board
I have done 1.a number of factory resets several times including removing and checking the main mower board fuses
2. tried the headphone jack only - no sound!
Before I start trying to do a reballing/heating the TI DSP chip which many posts suggest are there any software issues that need addressing before I proceed
Cheers for any assistance
Best Vince

I own one and have rebuilt almost every circuit. In fact, this is the model that got me started with fixing Onkyo receivers and I have since repaired well over 100 different systems with models ranging from the SR603 all the way to the NR656 and RZ800. The SR605 DSP is not a BGA design. Instead it has pins and a large ground lug. I can assure you that this isn't where your problem is.
Is the Standby light flashing?
